What's your take on creativity, music & fashion — do you think they're connected?

“Absolutely. They all come from the same place. What you're wearing has the potential to influence the way you feel, the way you talk. For someone like myself who makes music, you are supposed to use fashion to underline the type of music you make. Imagine 50 Cent in shiny Michael Jackson type tights.”

How does your fashion sense influence your music?

“I feel like my fashion sense is among the things that keep me aligned with the type of music I choose to make. It also aligns my visual self-expression with the sonic.”

What inspires or influences your fashion aesthetics?

“My life, my mood, my body type, my surroundings, the occasion, other stylish people who wear what I like. I like being flexible with my aesthetics but they all complement each other.”

What is fashion to you?

“To me, fashion is a way of life — a way of reflecting the times, or the state of things, and a way of presenting one's self through what you wear. "Fashion" has been turned into "trend", so I like to separate it from style. Style is a way of using fashion to your advantage while maintaining your sense of individuality.”
